The Imperial Stormtroopers, also known as Stormtroopers, Stormtroopers, Imperial Legion, Imperial Assault Team, and Imperial Stormtroopers, are the elite assault forces of the Galactic Empire in Star Wars, under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Army. The Imperial Stormtroopers are only loyal to the Galactic Emperor Palpatine and are directly under his command. The Death Troops are elite units belonging to the Military Intelligence Agency, and Orson Cronnick once used these troops to counter the rebels who wanted to steal the Death Star design.
