The author of "Beyond the Atrium" is Jislav Becksinsky (February 24, 1929 – February 21, 2005), a renowned Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor specializing in surreal fantasy art. Becksinsky's style of addressing himself carries Baroque and Goethe implications. His creations were mainly divided into two periods. In the first period, his works had terrifying shapes and a depressed atmosphere, which were generally considered to contain expressionist colors.
