A lighthouse located at the northwest end of the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. Designed by engineer Axe Sveinsson and built in 1944 to replace the old lighthouse, which is considered unsafe due to rising sea levels and coastal erosion. The new lighthouse is 28.6 meters high and is a concrete structure designed with durability and functionality in mind to adapt to the harsh marine environment in the region.
