Tartu Toomkirik is a historic church located in the center of Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia. It is one of the most important churches in Estonia and a symbolic landmark of the city. The architecture began in the 13th century and was finally completed in the late 15th century in the three channel basilica style. It is one of the largest medieval churches in Estonia and Latvia, and the only medieval church in Estonia with two towers. Unfortunately, Tartu Cathedral has suffered multiple damages throughout its history, and currently only a magnificent ruin remains.
