Shown like an egg with a built-in virtual creature, the player needs to feed, play, clean and take care of its health to help it grow. Growth and final form depend on the quality of care of the player. Not only is it a form of entertainment, but it also teaches children responsibility and time management. It became a cultural phenomenon in the 1990 s and had a profound impact on later virtual pet games.
