Green guppy is one of the more popular pet fish. It has the characteristics of strong reproductive capacity, short reproductive cycle, large egg production, high transparency, easy identification of fertilization, fast and synchronous embryonic development, and sensitivity to water quality. In recent decades, it has been widely used in the fields of developmental biology, molecular biology, and toxicology, and is one of the organisms that study the proliferation of vertebrate reproductive cells, genetic mutations and diseases, as well as the toxic effects of pollutants.
