Pixiu (p í xi) ū), A fierce and powerful mythical creature in ancient Chinese mythology, with the "pi" being the male and the "xiu" being the female. Pixiu, also known as Tianlu, Pixie, and Baijie, originated from the beliefs of ancient people. According to Volume 10 of Zhou Qi's "Mingming Kao" in the Ming Dynasty, Pixiu is called Pixie because it can dispel misfortune and attract wealth. In the south, people often refer to it as Pixiu, while in the north, it is often referred to as warding off evil spirits. Pixiu has a body shape similar to a tiger or leopard, with a head and tail resembling a dragon. Its color is also gold and jade, and it has a pair of wings on its shoulders that cannot be extended. Along with the dragon, phoenix, turtle, and qilin, it is known as the Five Great Auspicious Beasts.
