Bodhisattva Tara is a religious figure, also known as the Goddess of Valor or the Goddess of Eight Difficulties. Green Tara is the incarnation of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. Tara, Sanskrit name Tara, full name Holy Salvation Buddha Mother, was formerly known as Dola Bodhisattva or Dola Guanyin in ancient China. Tara has many different incarnations, including twenty-one, five hundred, and so on, all of which are incarnations of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Green Tara is the main deity of all Taras, capturing all the merits of the remaining twenty incarnations.
