In 1983, the China Tourism Administration designated "Tianma" as the graphic symbol of Chinese tourism. The image of this national emblem is depicted based on a bronze sculpture artwork from the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 AD). In 1969, this cultural relic was unearthed in Wuwei, Gansu, which immediately shocked the whole country and caused a sensation around the world.
