The Hundred eyed Snail is a mollusk of the Gastropod Steel Snail family. The shell has a distinct cylindrical shape, with spiral layers curling inward. The shell mouth is narrow and long, with fine teeth on the outer and inner lips, and a tongue shaped tongue. The outer membrane is thin, two leaf shaped, and the living body almost completely covers the shell. When the spiral part reaches adulthood, it almost disappears, and the adult has no operculum. The shell surface is smooth and glossy, with a light yellow brown color and numerous brown ring patterns of varying sizes. There are also two yellow white horizontal stripes on the shell surface. Living in tropical and subtropical warm sea areas, it can be found from intertidal zones to deeper rocky reefs, coral reefs, or sandy bottoms. Mainly feeds on algae or coral animals.
