Bell snails, also known as horseshoe snails, often have conical or snail shaped shells, and some have ear shaped shells. The shell surface is often carved with particles, nodules, or spines. The bottom of the shell is flat and often has concentric ribs. The shell is square or horseshoe shaped, with a deep navel or no navel. The pearl layer inside the shell is thick, the operculum is keratinous, and it is round and multi rotating. There are many types, all of which are marine products. They mostly inhabit shallow intertidal rocks and sandy bottoms. High capped bell snails, belonging to the family of bell snails, have granular or reticular carvings on the surface of their shells. The edges of the shells do not have sharp protrusions, and there are grooves growing along the axis of the shell. The shell shape is conical. The inner surface of the shell has a strong pearl luster. The mask is a multi rotational keratin.
