The Great Bamboo Snail is an animal in the family of Bamboo Snails, with a slender shell, a spire like shape, and multiple layers of snails. The shell is large and robust, with a light flesh color and luster. Each spiral layer usually has black stripes, and the lower half of the body layer has lighter stripes. The shell can grow up to 27 centimeters in length. The shell is heavy, shiny, with a wide body layer and a long mouth. The later spiral layer is slightly convex and smooth. The early spiral layer had weak longitudinal ridges, a milky white shell surface, and a fractured spiral band composed of brown patterns. The shell is small, with obvious sutures and no umbilical foramen. The outer lip is not thickened, and the interior is smooth. Twisted shaft lip.
