Bamboo root carving is a traditional handicraft that uses bamboo roots as raw materials for carving and creation. In 2014, bamboo root carving was included in China's intangible cultural heritage list. Bamboo root carving has been included in China's intangible cultural heritage list. This bamboo root carving depicts the Chinese mythological figure of the mother giving birth. In different regions of China, there are different stories and legends of Chinese fertility goddesses. Zhusheng Niangniang is a goddess image derived from the three goddesses in the Ming Dynasty novel "Fengshen Bang". The three goddesses are the sisters of the God of Wealth Zhao Gongming, named Zhao Yunxiao, Zhao Qiongxiao, and Zhao Bixiao. Later, these three goddesses merged into one and were known as the Wishing Goddess.
