Begonia grandis Dryan. is a perennial herbaceous plant in the family Begoniaceae and genus Begonia. The rhizome is nearly spherical, the stem is upright, can reach a height of 60 centimeters, and has longitudinal edges without hair. Stems and leaves alternate, with broad ovate to ovate leaf contours that are uneven on both sides. The upper part is brownish green, often with a red halo, while the lower part is light with a purplish red hue. The stipules are long circular to lanceolate membranous, and the scape has longitudinal edges and is hairless.
