A historic building located in Viborg City, Leningrad Oblast, northwestern Russia. Built in the mid-16th century, specifically between 1547 and 1550, it was ordered by King Gustav I of Sweden to be built as part of the medieval fortress of Viborg. It was a stone turret in the military defense system of the city at that time, and also one of the two existing medieval towers. Located in the city center, its unique circular design was of great significance in military architecture at that time. After the baptism of time, the Round Tower not only witnesses the rich history of Viborg, but also becomes a landmark attraction of the city.
