This is an Exakta VX 35mm SLR camera, built in 1954 by Ihagee Kamerawerk of Dresden, Germany. Exakta was in production from 1933 to 1970. The Exakta was the first single-lens reflex camera ever made for 127 roll film (1933) and 135 format 35mm film (1936). It was also the first camera with a wind lever (1934) and the first camera with a shutter-activated flash socket.
