The Oriental honey bee, a species of honey bee under the genus Apis, has a natural distribution range of west to Pakistan, east to Taiwan and Japan, northwest to Qinghai and Gansu, south to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, including the entire South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.
